We cannot guarantee that we can fix your equipment at the first visit, Although we carry replacement parts, around 75% of the time we need to order spares to complete the repair. All spares will be quoted for prior to replacing any parts.

Annual service agreement:

Our service includes, check all cabling and seals, Grease all hinges/ moving parts, top up oils, change batteries, general clean down and full service report.

1 x visit per year: £225.00 (for one pair of automatic gates or sliding gate)

Repairs, Add-on’s & Alterations:

Lothian Gates often advise and (at your request) install alterations or add-on’s to existing installations ranging from audio or video entry systems, induction loops, safety edges, keypads, electric locks, replacement remote transmitters and handsets. If you would like to add any additional access control systems or safety devices to your electric gates.

Underground Motor Replacement:

We were called to attend an electric gate breakdown in Cardrona, A development of a dozen exclusive homes with electric gates. Shortly after our arrival we found one of the gate motors broken and the other on its last legs, None of the gates in the estate had been serviced since installation by another company ( That no longer exists ) and half the gates were not in working order most of them locked in the open position. We now look after most of the gates in the development and have replaced 8 x motors in total. If these gates were maintained once per year we probably wouldn’t had to replace any motors. Unserviced underground motors are the most likely to fail due to water ingress, poor drainage, dirt build up and lack of greasing, to prevent this from happening to your gates please contact us to arrange a gate service.
